During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), China's grain output has maintained high growth for four consecutive years, reaching a record 700 million tons for the first time in 2024. The per capita grain supply reached 500 kilograms, ensuring stronger food security for China's population of over 1.4 billion.

In Heilongjiang's Xinfu Township, golden rice fields stretch to the horizon, where rice production is projected to reach 10,670 tons this season. The roar of machinery signals peak harvest time.
Further south in Jiangsu Province, Donghai County has been embracing a bountiful freshwater aquaculture harvest. According to the head of a local fish farming base, some 40,000 kilograms of fish can be harvested in a single day.
