The 7th Kashi International Coffee Festival was held in the southern Chinese mega city Guangzhou from Friday to Sunday, bringing together over 190 brands from 11 countries and 34 cities across China.
For three days, coffee lovers explored a world of flavors, from Thailand's rich brews to Denmark's minimalism, from Yunnan's beans to creative blends inspired by Guangzhou. Every cup tells the story of a city.
One of the most eye-catching booths was designed like a traditional Mongolian yurt, where a brand from Inner Mongolia presented coffee infused with local ingredients. The bold yet delicate fusion of grassland flavors drew long lines of curious coffee lovers.
"I like coffees that aren't local, and you can't taste in Guangzhou, or something that is really special," a coffee-lover said.
"We buy coffee from all over the world, very diverse, mostly specialty coffee. We love amazing flavors and natural and thermal shock," said the manager of a participating cafe from Australia.
Creative blends of coffee and alcohol also stole the spotlight. A local Guangzhou cafe impressed festival-goers with specialty drinks that combined unique flavors and eye-catching presentation.
The event also hosted the very first Guangdong barista championship for the visually impaired to celebrate their skills, passion, and determination.
Beyond coffee, more than 20 lifestyle brands, spanning original fashion, art merchandise, photography and crafts, joined the block selling cultural and creative products.
The festival also set up training booths, where enthusiasts could explore the full journey of coffee, from planting and roasting to brewing.
