Trade between China and Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) reached a record high of 522.88 billion yuan (about 72.85 billion U.S. dollars) in the first half of 2025, up 6.8 percent year on year, according to Chinese customs authorities.
In June alone, the China-CEEC trade index climbed to 407.29, setting a new monthly record, customs authorities said.
The China-CEEC trade index is a barometer measuring trade between China and Central and Eastern European countries. It reflects changes in the prices, quantities, and value of goods from three dimensions: trade volume, trade structure, and trade partners. It is based on import and export trade statistics from customs authorities and indicates the trend of trade development between China and Central and Eastern European countries.
