The business matchmaking events organized at the ongoing sixth China International Import Expo (CIIE) have led to the signing of over 600 cooperation agreements.
By Wednesday, the fourth day of the Expo, 600 different agreements had been signed at the events, which attracted a large number of participants including representatives from 98 Chinese state-owned enterprises, who actively engaged in discussions and procurement during the sessions.
During the Trade and Investment Matchmaking Conference, which brought nearly 4,000 exhibitors together, more than 400 cooperation agreements were signed with an estimated value of about 18.1 billion U.S. dollars.
This year's Expo introduced a special program for overseas businesses looking to invest in China, laying on tours of different businesses around Shanghai for delegates.
The 6th CIIE, which is taking place from Nov. 5-10, is expected to attract guests from 154 countries, regions and international organizations, with over 3,400 exhibitors and 394,000 business representatives registered.
