Students from The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao and its sister school in the United Kingdom joined forces for a concert at the British ambassador's residence in Beijing, celebrating friendship and cultural exchange through music.

British Ambassador to China Peter Wilson welcomed the young musicians, teachers, and guests, praised the schools for nurturing musical talent and strengthening ties between China and the UK, and emphasized the importance of engaging young people in cultural exchanges.

The program featured works by renowned composers, including Astor Piazzolla, Johannes Brahms, Frederic Chopin, Maurice Ravel, and Franz Schubert. The concert concluded with a joint performance of Auld Lang Syne by students from both schools, drawing warm applause from the audience.

Thomas Rosenkranz, director of music at the Qingdao school, served as the concert's artistic director.

Robin Haskins, head of the UK school, and David Buckley, chair of its board of governors, expressed their commitment to deepening educational and cultural exchanges between the two schools.

The concert was part of an ongoing exchange between the two institutions, following a visit by UK teachers and students to Qingdao for joint classes, rehearsals, and performances.
