AI-powered short dramas of a South Korean client of Qingdao Guangshi Daren Artificial Intelligence Company based in the Qingdao Area of China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Qingdao FTZ) recently experienced content creation and were smoothly exported as digital products via international submarine cables of China Unicom and inside the isolated Inspur Hairuo (Qingdao) Token Factory. This marks that Qingdao has managed to create an unimpeded chain across China’s computing capacity, compliance-based transmission and utilization abroad, and made closed-loop verification for the first time on all scenarios related to “selling tokens abroad”.

It is impossible for the token factory to function efficiently without sound telecommunication infrastructures. Qingdao is the sole international submarine cable landing in northern China, boasts significant digital infrastructures, including dual hubs for international telecommunications business exit and entry points, and is known as a central data gateway to link directly northern China with Northeast Asia and North America. All these provide a solid foundation for high-speed flows of data. 

As a state-level opening-up platform committed to helping fulfilling national reform and experimental tasks, the Qingdao FTZ will take faster steps to advance the building and operation of cross-border token factories, continue to broaden the service coverage, and work hard to gather large companies and developers at home and abroad as well as OPC entrepreneurs in an aim to help Inspur Hairuo (Qingdao) Token Factory to pivot in a meaningful way from a “pioneer” to a “pacesetter” in northern China, and to ensure that data processing will energize the real economy.
