The China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area, or SCODA, is promoting its investment opportunities and latest progress in international cooperation at the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade, which opened in Xiamen, Fujian province, on Sept 8.
The four-day fair, one of China's major national-level platforms for investment promotion, features three main sections covering investment in China, Chinese investment overseas and international investment. With an exhibition area of 200,000 square meters, the event has attracted more than 1,200 government agencies and business delegations from 129 countries and regions, as well as representatives from 30 international organizations.
As China's only national-level platform dedicated to local economic and trade cooperation with Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries, SCODA is using the fair to introduce its industrial strengths, logistics advantages and potential for two-way investment.
Its participation focuses on attracting overseas industrial resources while helping Chinese companies expand into SCO markets. SCODA is also sharing its experience in trade facilitation, international logistics, industrial collaboration and cross-border financial services.
At a special session in the Export-Import Bank of China exhibition area, SCODA presented its development achievements and financial innovation practices and held exchanges with participating companies and institutions.
Looking ahead, SCODA plans to further leverage major investment platforms to deepen trade, investment and financial cooperation and create more opportunities for practical economic ties with SCO countries.
