China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently unveiled the ninth batch of national single champions of manufacturing industry, among which seven new Qingdao-based enterprises ranked. Qingdao is currently home to a cumulative total of 45 national single champions of manufacturing industry, ranking first in Shandong Province and securing the second position among cities in Northern China.

    The latest award-winning enterprises comprise Hailir Pesticides and Chemicals Group, Hisense Visual Technology Co., Ltd., Sailun Group, TELD, CSSC Engine Co., Ltd., Ceyear Technologies Co., Ltd. and CRRC Braking Systems Co., Ltd., which span a wide range of fields, including new type displays, rubber tires, new energy, instruments and apparatus, shipbuilding and marine engineering, and rail transit equipment.

China’s national single champions of manufacturing industry, accreditation standards for which are rigorous, have to stay committed to developing certain niche products on a long-term basis, boast internationally advanced production technologies or workmanship, and specialize in manufacturing products whose global market share ranks among the top three.
