The "2025 International Friends Exploring Qingdao" tour recently brought together 13 international experts from countries including Germany, the United States, and France for an immersive look into the city's industrial and technological development. The delegation provided insights to help shape Qingdao's ongoing evolution as a modern, open, and international metropolis.  

The itinerary included site visits to leading enterprises such as Tgood Electric and Goertek’s Global R&D Center. Participants observed advances in power equipment, smart manufacturing, VR, and wearable technology, gaining a firsthand understanding of Qingdao's innovation-driven growth.  

"Having witnessed Qingdao's comprehensive progress — economically, environmentally, and administratively — I'm deeply impressed by today's well-organized focus on technology, which demonstrates the city's solid potential," said Giamberto Giraldo, general manager of Italy-based Qingdao Yicai Fund Distribution Co Ltd, a fund distribution company founded in China in 2016, which is wholly owned by Intesa Sanpaolo, Italy's leading banking group with over 400 years of history. 

Professor Naser Golsanami from Shandong University of Science and Technology added, "Qingdao has become one of China's leading cities in sci-tech innovation, as evidenced by the dynamic enterprises we visited."

A roundtable discussion followed at Qingdao International Convention Center, where 10 international representatives shared suggestions on industrial cooperation, cultural exchange, and business environment optimization. City officials of Qingdao expressed appreciation for their ongoing contributions.  

The event served as a solid platform for dialogue and partnership, injecting fresh momentum into Qingdao's high-quality development and future opening-up.
