Qingdao's fishing season begins with wave of excitement 2025/9/7 source: Print

The much-anticipated fishing season began at Jimiya fishing port in Qingdao West Coast New Area on Sept 1. As the four-month summer fishing moratorium in the Yellow and Bohai seas ended, fishing boats gathered in the port sounded their horns proudly at noon before setting out orderly into the open sea.

Amid splashing waves and high hopes, the fleet sailed toward fishing grounds to cast the first catch of the golden autumn, aiming to bring back the freshest harvest of the season. The return of fishing not only promises delicious seafood but also revitalizes the local maritime economy.
