The Multinational Corporations in China research report was released in the summit, which was attended by 570 guests from multinationals from 43 countries and regions.

Featuring the theme "Multinationals and China - Connecting the World for Win-win Cooperation", this summit consisted of well-conceived activities such as the opening ceremony and the high-quality development forum for multinationals, three themed activities and N parallel events covering four sections. Newly promulgated laws and regulations as well as policy documents were interpreted in an authoritative way, and white papers on policies and think tank research reports were unveiled. These moves were intended to send the positive message to investors that China would sustain efforts to promote high-level opening-up and provide a reassuring feeling to multinationals investing in China. The multinational debut SHOW and the international accurate purchase matchmaking event among other innovative activities were held to provide multinationals with professional avenues to exhibit their new products, technologies and services.

Senior executives of multinationals noted that Chinas push for high-quality development would provide ample room for multinationals investing in China, and multinationals would stay committed to deepening pragmatic cooperation with Chinese companies on the basis of mutual benefit.

As the permanent host city of the summit, Qingdao took advantage of the summit to access global resources and to carry out planning for implementing opening-up policies in a wider scope, broader areas and at a deeper level. Themed Opening-up for a Better World, Cooperation for a Shared Future, the International City Partners Dialogue 2025 was held in the summit. Multinational corporate leaders, and responsible persons for international chambers of commerce and business associations as well as international economic and trade institutions gathered together to boost friendship, exchange opinions on development and facilitate approval for a batch of bilateral investment projects.
