This year, a continuous stream of tourists are attracted to visit Qingdao to admire the beauty of autumn. Thanks to its unique temperate monsoon climate and geographical position, Qingdao prides itself on a riot of colors in autumn, where several dozens of ornamental trees in autumn constitute a dreamlike spectacle.
As urban renovation and construction deepens, Qingdao boasts multiple sites with fabulous autumn scenery and unfolds itself in a myriad of manners. Weather-worn ginkgo trees decorate delicately Fahai Temple, an ancient temple in Qingdao, with their golden leaves. In Qingdao Horticultural Expo Park, the distant mountain contrasts finely with the skies and the ponds, constituting a fairy tale world. Fiery-red seepweeds at the estuary of Yang River along Jiaozhou Bay resemble rosy clouds and serve as a delicate ornament to the seacoast, thus reputed as “jade corals”. Pink muhlygrass in Xiaomaidao is in the prime time and looks like a pink picture drifting in front of tourists. Undoubtedly, scenery in Qingdao in November is both a visual and intellectual feast to tourists. (Liu Dong)
