Themed on "Let’s “Sea” our Futures—Promoting Blue Partnerships for Growth and Sustainability”, the 2024 Global Ocean Development Forum was held in Qingdao from October 24 till 25.

The well-planned forum consisted of the opening ceremony and the main forum, the East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform Qingdao Dialogue, four parallel platforms as well as six featured activities. As an upgrade, this year’s Global Ocean Development Forum is integrated from the previous “East Asia Marine Cooperation Qingdao Forum” and “Event of Marine and Fishery Affairs Commission under Local Governments in Northeast Asia Cooperation Committee”.

The Global Ocean Development Forum is among the three provincial level forums as well as the sole ocean-related international forum that Shandong Province continues to hold. Co-sponsored by the Shandong Provincial Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources, the annually held event is aimed at becoming a magnificent meeting on ocean development with more appeal and international reach.
