To celebrate the 7th Chinese Farmers’ Harvest Festival, Qingdao recently held such festivities loved by the masses as folk performances with rural characteristics, exhibition and sales of agricultural products, and farming experience in light of territorial features and native products to present in a panoramic way achievements Qingdao has scored in agriculture and rural revitalization.

Members participating in the 2024 SCO training session on poverty reduction and development, who come from Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Armenia, were invited to the festivity to share the joy of harvest with farmers in Jiangshan Town, Laixi City, Qingdao. The West Coast New Area of Qingdao has launched routes of “rural tourism” and “revolutionary tourism” to deliver tourists with one-stop new “culture+tourism” experience. Nearly 100 plucking gardens that nestle in Yanghe Town, Jiaozhou City, Qingdao delivered immersive experience integrating presentation of rural revitalization, picking fresh fruits and vegetables, study trips on intangible cultural heritage, delicious food and camping in rural areas. Laoshan District in Qingdao has launched an activity in which 100 famous painters were invited to depict 100 rural villages. Along the most beautiful coastal roads in China, the paintings concentrated on the demonstration areas for rural revitalization, the scenic spots and the most beautiful coastal lines, and highlighted local features through the integration of agriculture, culture and tourism.  (Zhang Jin)
