On September 9, the Asian Sailing Federation (ASAF) Cup Qingdao International Regatta 2024 kicked off in the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center. More than 80 athletes of 15 teams from provinces and municipalities across the country, who sailed on the blue sea amid azure skies and white clouds, dotted the beautiful Fushan Bay and constituted romantic and energetic scenes on the autumn day.
On September 6, the 2024 16th Qingdao International Sailing Week and Qingdao International Marine Festival and First China (Qingdao) International Marine Sports Meeting was grandly inaugurated. Seven national level above marine sports events, namely, motor-boating, paddle boarding, powered surfboarding, offshore rowing, canoeing, beach volleyball and sepa takraw, as well as a series of international exchange activities for marine sports will make their appearance in succession. These fashionable sailing events are intended to ignite passion in summer.
Among the events, the 2024 China Paddle Boarding Club League (Qingdao) was put into the spotlight. More than 150 skillful paddle boarding athletes from over 30 provinces and municipalities including Beijing, Guangdong, Shandong, Zhejiang and Fujian skimmed over the water in the rippling sea area of Fushan Bay and chased each other, constituting a harmonious picture between nature and mankind.
As one of the most important events in the marine festival in the sailing week, the 2024 China Motor-boating Open Tournament (Qingdao) was inaugurated in the water area of Haiqquyuan on Macao Road. This is the first time that the race was held on the sea in 2024. Nearly 100 top contestants came to Qingdao to contend each other in five competition events including the sedentary motor-boating RL1 racing and the vertical motor-boating JO racing. Audiences were fortunate to have the chance to watch a high-level aquatic sport event.
