On June 16, the luxuriantly green Xiaomaidao saw the Qingdao French delicacy and music event. The stylish combination of music, fine food and fairs made the island bathed in a sense of relaxation and healing power.

  “Warmly welcome everyone to attend the grand French picnic and music festival.” Courtney, the chief representative of Bretagne, France in Shandong Province, who has been living in Qingdao for more than two decades, sent an invitation to Qingdao citizens and tourists.

Amid melodious music, citizens and tourist came one after another to the Sino-French cultural exchange event. French music festivals have been included in the 2024 China-France Year of Culture and Tourism. In the event, music bands including Toukan Touk?n, Pierre Pradat and Glacier put on wonderful performances for Chinese and foreign tourists. Freshly-made delicious French food invited Chinese and overseas tourists in queues, who were invited to join the French-styled picnic. The Qingdao tourism promotion campaign and cultural tourism presentation were also launched in the event to advertise Qingdao cultural tourism resources among Chinese and overseas tourists.

“Qingdao is endowed with mountains, seas and rural tourism. Quite a lot of French friends came all the way from Beijing and Shanghai. In making their schedules, they arrived in Qingdao a few days in advance so that they could have time to travel in Qingdao. I hope such cultural events can enable more and more foreign friends to appreciate a beautiful and charming Qingdao.” said Courtney.
