China’s first heavy haul railway hydrogen refueling station in Batuta recently went into commercial operation, marking the official use of the world’s first low temperature resistant hydrogen fueling robot system, co-developed by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Rolling Stock Research Institute Co., Ltd. and a hydrogen energy technology company under CHN Energy.
The hydrogen fueling robot system adopts a series of cutting-edge technology such as autonomous recognition at the hydrogen refueling receptacle, automatic refueling, smart trajectory planning and buoyant force perception. The 3D visual camera is employed to tell the position of the refueling receptacle in a precise manner, thus rendering manual intervention unnecessary and making hydrogen refueling entirely airtight and more intelligent. By introducing such hydrogen refueling robot systems and large flow hydrogen recharging machines, the Batuta hydrogen refueling station can run around the clock and enable automatic refueling at a fast flow rate under the lowest temperature of -25℃.
