With the theme “Venture and Capital for a New Era, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for a Brighter Future”, the 2024 Qingdao Venture Capital Conference, hosted by Qingdao municipal government, was inaugurated on May 28. 100-plus professionals from venture capital, academic and business circles at home and abroad gathered in Qingdao to exchange opinions on venture capital and the development of new productive forces.

The opening ceremony saw the unveiling of the Several Policies on Reinforcing Fiscal and Financial Coordination to Bolster High-quality Economic Development in Qingdao, the Qingdao Policy Measures on Further Shoring up High-quality Development of the Financial Sector, the 2024 Annual White Paper on Venture Capital Industry, and the Top 20 Qingdao investment partners selected by China Venture. The Qingdao municipal government China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC) signed strategic cooperation agreements, involving 29 funds and investment projects with a total investment of RMB 27.7 bln. Some prestigious experts, scholars and entrepreneurs in the circle of venture capital made keynote speeches.  (Liu Ping)
