The 360° panoramic show Qingdao by the Sea will be premiered in July in the Phoenix Island Art Center in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao.

The show Qingdao by the Sea will leverage Qingdaos unique sea and mountain views, and profound cultural and historic heritage to present audiences a world-class performance which resembles watching a film. Derived from historical events and incorporating Qingdaos commerce and trade culture, folk traditions and customs, commerce and trade development, ship and port culture, and marine science and technology, the show, in which ships are used as visual and cultural images, is aimed at giving full expression to co-existence and co-prosperity between mankind and the sea, and resorts to magnificent scenes and world outlook to retell in a vivid manner Qingdaos history of formation, development and prosperity because of its proximity to the sea, in a bid to reveal profound cultural heritage and successful cultural inheritance.

It is noteworthy that the show Qingdao by the Sea will be staged in the worlds first gigantic arena on water provided with mechanical science and technology to deliver extreme immersive experience. By pioneering the use of a gigantic circular mechanical stage with a diameter of 120m in the world, the show features a fully-covered water circulation system, true-to-life simulated sea waves and a huge encircling screen, and provides a boundless transparent three-dimensional space characterized by digital-real integration (DRI). The 360° three-dimensional rotating chairs on water enable audiences to place themselves in a circular water area with a diameter of 120m. Real-time multiple-effect performance ships help deliver audiences an immersive watching experience across multiple spaces and scenarios, thus ushering audiences into the sea immediately.
