The Information Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government held the first news conference of the Year of the Dragon on the afternoon of February 21. The theme of this conference is “Enhancing Efforts to Shape a High-standard Business Environment.”

In recent years, departments at all levels in Shandong have dedicated to innovating and improving the business environment and focused on creating a more attractive and competitive business environment in order to provide strong support and guarantees for the high-quality development of the province’s economy and society. Through the continuous efforts, Shandong has been selected as one of the top ten provinces with the best business environment for four consecutive years, with Qingdao ranked among the top ten provincial capitals and vice-provincial cities, and Zibo ranked among the top ten prefecture-level cities, all of which have significantly enhanced the influence, credibility, and reputation of Shandong’s business environment.

A few days ago, clear requirements were also put forward for optimizing the business environment on the provincial conference on high-level opening up and high-quality investment promotion on the first work day after the Spring Festival holiday.  In the next step, Shandong will continue to promote innovative improvement of the business environment, focus on solving the difficulties faced by enterprises and the public, comprehensively build a market-oriented, rule-of-law, and international first-class business environment, and contribute to the construction of a strong modern socialist province in the new era.
