More than 800 cultural tourism activities to be staged to invite tourists to Qingdao for Spring Fes 2024/1/26 source: International daily Print

Dance Jiaodong Yangko, hang red lanterns, stroll around the Raddish-Sweet Dumplings for Lantern Festival-Sugar Ball Fair, and cheer for dragon dance and lion dance. As the Chinese Lunar New Year approaches, the 2024 Spring Festival Shandong Rural Culture Tourism Festival, part of Qingdao urban and rural cultural tourism events, kicked off. 34 municipal level activities and 820 district and county-level city activities send invitations to tourists from across the country to celebrate the Chinese New Year in Qingdao.

Celebration events will consist of folk culture activities such as seeking festive atmosphere on the Laba Festival (the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month), shopping on the Minor New Year bidding farewell to the old year on the New Year’s Eve, spending the Lantern Festival and the Dragon-Head-Raising Festival, mass cultural recreations such as village-level singing contests, evening galas, football games, basketball games and talent shows, and even exhilarating ice-snow sports, comfortable spring spa, delicious food, scenery and articles with lingering charm, aimed at providing tourists with a feast of cultural tourism integrating culture, tourism, commerce and trade, sports and health.
