Qingdao Today
Heinz under the Kraft Heinz Company recently announced that its first batch of Chinese-made inverted bottle tomato juice was rolled off the production line in its Qingdao factory and will be fully launched to the market via both online and offline channels.
As a Fortune Global 500 company, the Kraft Heinz Company is among the world’s largest food and beverage makers. The factory located in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao, known as its main producer of western style sauces in China and put into operation for more than two decades, boasts a total investment of over RMB 370 mln and generates an annual average of more than RMB 30 mln in tax revenue. The smooth roll-out of inverted bottle tomato juice is attributable to new changes resulting from the introduction of production lines for inverted bottle tomato juice and sauce cups, which invited an additional investment of USD 11.3 mln from the Kraft Heinz Company in 2023.
“The homegrown inverted bottle tomato juice will be fully launched to the Chinese market this year, marking a milestone for Heinz as well as an important step forward for Kraft Heinz to invest in China.” said Xiao Gaoqiu, vice president of Asia region in Kraft Heinz in charge of operations, procurement and sustainable development.
