Qingdao Customs issues 92,100 RCEP certificates of origin in the first ten months 2023/12/18 source: International daily Print

In the first ten months of 2023, Qingdao Customs has issued 92,100 RCEP certificates of origin, the most among China’s certifying authorities and increasing by 38.9% year on year. As a result, a 20.256 bln RMB worth of exports, a year-on-year increase of 22.5%, has been entitled to preferential treatment, and the benefited enterprises have enjoyed the concession of tariff overseas totally worth more than 200 mln RMB.

To promote RCEP policies, Qingdao Customs has given full play to Qingdao’s technological superiority as a source area, and instructed manufacturing enterprises on food, aquatic products and auto parts to take advantage of RCEP rules of origin to tap into the vast overseas market. In the first ten months of this year, the number of RCEP certificates of origin issued by Qingdao Customs for the goods bound for Australia, ASEAN countries and South Korea has more than doubled year on year, the share of which has increased to close to 13% from lower than 7% over the same period last year.  (Liu Lanxing)
