Qingdao Tourism Group is currently making intensive preparations to create a large-scale live performance at the Olympic Sailing Center, said the company's general manager Tan Peng.

The performance will reflect how the people of Qingdao, a coastal city in China's eastern Shandong province, use the ocean to drive development.

The performance will incorporate diverse art forms such as stage plays, operas, and immersive light shows, bringing a cultural and tourism feast to the audience, Tan said.

The performance will be made available to citizens and tourists before the Spring Festival, he added.

According to Tan, the performance is one of the new projects the company is working on to attract visitors. The company will also enhance cruise ship services, allowing local residents and visitors to better enjoy the beautiful coastline of Qingdao.

A faster and more comfortable new cruise ship will be deployed on the route from the Olympic Sailing Center to Taiqing Pier, Tan said.

Qingdao Tourism Group also recently launched an app called "Haile" to allow visitors to choose cruise ships, yachts, sailing boats and other maritime experiences online, Tan added.
