One thing tourists can do in the coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province during the winter is observing black-headed gulls. Starting in November, groups of the gulls fly to the city to spend winter there.

Tangdao Bay Wetland Park in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) is one of the birds' winter destinations, and it is now a paradise for migratory birds. The arrival of the black-headed gulls creates a beautiful spectacle every winter.
