On October 21, the 2023 5G Intelligent Audiovisual Conference (GIAC) was held in the Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Conference. With the theme of “AI Leads to a New Future”, the event gathered experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from global internet and intelligent audiovisual sectors in Qingdao to exchange opinions on industrial development trends and the future of the intelligent audiovisual field. In the opening ceremony, the “Sunshine Shooter” recruitment program was launched, the 2023 intelligent audiovisual development research report was released, a few experts, scholars and entrepreneurs made keynote speeches, and the Qingdao National High-tech Zone made a promotional presentation.

Over the years, in an effort to become a pioneering city of modern industries, Qingdao has vigorously developed digital economy, continuously boosted the film and TV cultural industry and steadily advanced the application of digital technology in cultural industries, sustaining the progress in the intelligent audiovisual sector. In the next phase, to make more outstanding audiovisual products and achieve high-quality development of its intelligent audiovisual sector, Qingdao will widen applications of virtual reality, artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing and 5G, further promote industrial concentration, make industrial application scenarios publicly available and continue to optimize business environment.  (Liu Chenglong)
