In the newly-concluded “super golden week” for the Mid-Autumn Festival and China’s National Day, colorful lives were staged in Qingdao.

The arrival of 6.17 million tourists has enlivened Qingdao’s mountain and sea scenic spots and public spaces. In the Tangdao Bay National Wetland Park, tourists, who followed travel strategies and enjoyed the holiday to their heart’s content, rambled, cycled or took selfies while walking. In the scenic area of Olympic Sailing Center, tourists from home and abroad strolled around the picturesque business clubs. The whole city was immersed in strong fashion atmosphere and festive joys.

The hustles and bustles lead to uncommon relaxation and warmth. From the depths of Liyuan buildings on Dabao Island come either melodious violin music or an immersive drama performance, but happy laughters and cheerful voices of family members, friends and lovers most of the time. The Taidong Pedestrian Street gathers delicious food and interesting articles, where tourists can inadvertently find the meaning of life amid bustling streets and alleys.

Zhongshan Park, which is not only a geographic landmark, but also a site of affection for Qingdao citizens, has emerged as an internet-famous site, where the city park festival and the campaign on introducing intangible cultural heritage into scenic spots, among other activities, were held to integrate the traditional and the modern, and simplicity and fashion. In Fushan Forest Park, citizens and tourists climbed the mountain together in an invigorating autumn climate. In climbing the mountain, younger and older generations helped each other, constituting a very touching scene. In the Shell Museum where a remoter history of the city is recorded, the narration themed on “Little Shells, Big World” unfolded new ocean knowledge in front of tourists.

In the Old Stone Man Bathing Beach, youths prefer to surfing and motorboating, challenging and exhilarating. No holiday experience is more relaxing than reading a book with coffee in “Zuimei Bookstore” on the beach. Youths sing together folk songs amid gentle sea wind on Xiaomai Island and the adjacent Haizhilian Park.
