Fuzhou ranks among “Annual Photogenic Cities in Micro-Short Dramas”


In the CMG First China Micro-Short Dramas Ceremony, which was recently held in Yantai, Shandong Province, Fuzhou was awarded as one of the “Annual Photogenic Cities in Micro-Short Dramas”.

The top CMG event with unrivaled influence in Chinese micro-short drama sector saw the presentation of more than 10 annual high-profile awards, including “Annual Quality Micro-Short Dramas”, “Annual Actors for Micro-Short Dramas” and “Annual Actresses for Micro-Short Dramas”. The “Annual Photogenic Cities in Micro-Short Dramas” went to eight cities, which were comprised of Fuzhou, Suzhou, Xi’an, Linfen, Erdos, Jining, Yantai and Huangshan.

As a culturally famous city with a history of more than 2,200 years, Fuzhou boasts an abundance of cultural tourism, and film and TV resources. Over the years, Fuzhou has made solid headway in developing the film and TV industry. The city has hosted the Silk Road International Film Festival for several sessions, and rolled out the Several Supportive Measures for the Development of the Film and TV Industry, the Action Plan for Building Fuzhou Cultural Creation Corridor and Promoting High-quality Development of the Cultural Sector and other policies in an effort to regulate and encourage the creation and production of films and TV series, and to help make the cultural sector become one of pillar industries in Fuzhou’s economic landscape. Priding itself on its magnificent mountain and sea scenery, distinctive cultural and historical sites, and satisfying crew services, Fuzhou has become a well sought-after shooting location, appealing to an increasing number of films, micro films, TV series and entertainment shows.
