The three-day seventh Qingdao Multinationals Summit kicked off in Qingdao City of east China's Shandong Province on Monday, attracting 357 multinational companies from 44 countries and regions across the world.
Among the attendees are 105 Fortune Global 500 companies and 252 industry-leading enterprises. Notably, modern service enterprises account for 20 percent of the participants, setting a new historical record.
Centered on the theme "Multinationals and China: Advancing with the 15th Five-Year Plan for Innovation and Future", the summit features an opening ceremony, a forum on the high-quality development of multinationals and a series of parallel sessions.
A research report titled "Multinationals in China" will also be released at the summit, comprehensively presenting China's opening-up policies, market opportunities, and innovation prospects during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030). It also aims to facilitate the deep integration of multinational companies into China's industrial, supply and innovation chains, enabling them to share the dividends of China's vast market, reap the fruits of innovative development, and benefit from the institutional opening-up.
As China's first high-level, institutionalized economic and trade event exclusively dedicated to multinational corporations, the summit has been held for six consecutive editions since its inception in 2019.
Throughout its six editions, it has consistently focused on the core theme of "Multinationals and China," continuously evolving with the times. The event has not only witnessed the deep integration between multinationals and the Chinese market but also demonstrated China's firm commitment to expanding high-standard opening-up and deepening cooperation with global enterprises.
