At the start of 2026, Jiefang Eagle Euro 6 heavy-duty trucks secured the first batch order from Mexico that involves 20 units. The series is independently developed by FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automotive Company, and has experienced rigorous testing and cross-border operations. This marks that the Eagle heavy-duty trucks have officially made inroads into North America, and the brand of Jiefang has made an important breakthrough in internalization.

Two prototypes of the truck crossed the Pacific before arriving at the port in Mexico in November 2025, and swiftly won market recognition thanks to their exceptional performance. It was after merely two months, namely in January 2026, that FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automitive Company secured the first order that involves 20 units. This not only proves that Qingdao-made heavy-duty trucks are already on a par with these manufactured by world-class brands in terms of core technical indicators, but reveals the fact that Chinese-made commercial vehicles are gaining moemtum in the transition from “cost performance” to “technological superiority”.

Thanks to a favorable reputation among clients and robust market demand, Jiefang Eagle tractor trucks are expected to fare tremendously well in Mexico in 2026, and the total exports for 2026 are forecast to exceed 100 units.
