The event named Business Exchange & Matchmaking: Digital Solutions for Global Expansion and Emerging Markets was recently held. Under the theme “Trade with Qingdao, Digitize the Future”, the event, which comprised keynote speeches, marketing presentations and talks on cooperation, not only adopted a global perspective in analyzing the evolution of the international landscape and exploring opportunities in emerging markets, but also focused on practical scenarios to discuss innovation application of digital tools in foreign trade. More than 300 representatives from chambers of commerce, associations and enterprises exchanged opinions on how to venture abroad.

Since the start of this year, Qingdao has unveiled a toolkit of policies to enhance customs clearance, tap into emerging markets and optimize the layout of the supply chain. Pooling multiple elements such as policies, market, technology and capital, the event was intended to foster synergy with the action plan for Qingdao-based enterprises venturing abroad, the plan for small and medium-sized enterprises in Qingdao going global, comprehensive service centers and warehouses in foreign countries, the tailored service system that focuses on 10 sectors, help tap into 100 key markets and screens out 1,000 high-quality foreign trade-oriented companies and service providers. Policies will be unveiled in a more targeted manner to shore up Qingdao-based enterprises morale and confidence in venturing overseas. (Liu Lanxing)
