Everywhere in China is now full of festive atmosphere to celebrate the country's Lunar New Year that falls on Jan. 22 this year.
A night fair in Kaifeng City of central China's Henan Province attracted a constant stream of visitors, spurring consumption while offering people a vibrant nightlife.
Covering an area of 7,000 square meters and with 237 stalls, the Gulou night fair has resumed its past hustle and bustle from dusk until the wee hours, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery, taste delicious food and soak in the vibrant nightlife in the famous historic city.
"There are so many kinds [of food] and so many people. It is very lively and has a great atmosphere," said a tourist.
"As a Kaifeng native, the Gulou Night Fair is a cultural symbol in my mind," said a local resident.
The local government has recently issued 30 million yuan (or 4.44 million U.S. dollars) of coupons to tourists, further boosting the vitality of cultural tourism consumption.
A firework show was staged in Shangli County of Pingxiang City, east China's Jiangxi Province, on Monday, displaying cultural elements with the local characteristics.
Meanwhile, a show featuring 480 drones lit up the night sky above the county, created colorful images and festive words in mid-air, giving spectators a memorable experience.
In Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County of Mianyang City, southwest China's Sichuan Province, people were enjoying a magnificent laser show while having a traditional feast together.
"I made a special trip to Beichuan and came across this laser show. I think it's wonderful. This trip is rewarding," said another tourist.
In addition to the laser show, fascinating performances including acrobatics and magic show and a huge bonfire were also presented to add luster to the festive sentiments.
