The Jinjun Yunda Supply Chain (Qingdao) Co Ltd, based in East China's Shandong province, has announced a batch of aviation products for export under the "9710" Customs supervision method for cross-border e-commerce, marking the successful Customs clearance of China's first cross-border e-commerce export business for aviation products.

Conducted lately through the Qingdao cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot area public service platform at the Qingdao section of China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the move was a further supplement to the category of domestic cross-border e-commerce export business, said Wang Xiaobin, a local expert.

The successful export of aviation products — a representation of the unusual trade category — under the "9710" Customs supervision method reflected the broad applicability of the model, offering an example for other peers and widening new spaces for foreign trade.

The "9710" Customs supervision method — fully called "cross-border e-commerce business-to-business direct export," — refers to a mode under which cross-border e-commerce enterprises directly reach transactions with overseas enterprises through e-commerce platforms, and export goods in batches through cross-border logistics. It can lead to more efficient transactions by simplifying the intermediary links.

Based on the Qingdao cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot area public service platform, the new move can help reinforce the local digital empowerment and drive the industrial enterprises to go global, said Xilin Tana, Wang's colleague.

It can also help promote Jinjun Yunda Supply Chain to implement a development strategy of "cross-border e-commerce + aviation industry," eyeing a national professional cross-border e-commerce platform in the vertical field of aviation products, she said.

Going forward, the Qingdao section of China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone will leverage Qingdao's location and port advantages to build a business cluster for cross-border e-commerce industry chain, offering a solid support for enterprises to engage in green trade and digital trade, and cultivating new growth drivers for foreign trade upgrade, she added.
