Economic growth in Qingdao cannot go without wisdom, dedication and efforts of the vast number of entrepreneurs. This year, Qingdao is home to 7, 21 and 45 enterprises included among top 500 Chinese enterprises, top 100 enterprises in Shandong Province and top 200 private enterprises in Shandong Province, respectively, making solid contributions to economic development in a steady and sound manner. 190 enterprises have been designated as national SRDI “little giant” enterprises, and 17 enterprises have blossomed into unicorns. All these enterprises have enormously driven the cultivation of new productive forces.

The fourth Qingdao Day of Entrepreneurs fell on November 1, 2024 when 20 regular activities and 7 key events for the Day of Entrepreneurs and the Publicity Week of Entrepreneurs were held. Among the events were Qingdao Conference on Improving Business Environment and Promoting High-quality Development of Private Economy, the seminar on entrepreneurship with the theme “making progress with a spirit of innovating and working in a earnest, harnessing the momentum to seek development”, the exhibition of photos (physical items) on the development of private economy, etc. Speaking highly of entrepreneurship, Qingdao works unremittingly to build a world-class market-oriented and law-based business environment, and commits to foster a sound atmosphere where entrepreneurs are respected, supported and protected.  (Sun Xin)
