The Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour 2024 Qingdao China Futures kicked off on Sept 12 in the Qingdao West Coast New Area. The competition attracted 58 teams from 16 countries and regions, with over 100 athletes participating.

This competition is one of the top three international events organized by the International Volleyball Federation, following only the Olympics and World Championships. Athletes will compete in five rounds, including qualification matches, group matches, elimination matches, semifinals, and finals, to vie for the ultimate championship.

During the opening ceremony held that evening, International Federation de Volleyball (FIVB) president Ary S. Graca sent a congratulatory letter stating that the event not only brought together many outstanding beach volleyball athletes but also provided a stage for young athletes to showcase their talents on the international stage. He also expressed hope that hosting the event would promote the development of beach volleyball in Qingdao.

The Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour 2024 Qingdao China Futures is being held in Qingdao from Sept 12 to 15, organized by the International Volleyball Federation and undertaken by the Volleyball Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sports of China.
