The first batch of quay cranes that Qingdao Hisea Heavy-duty Machinery Co., Ltd. has built for the Damietta Alliance Container Terminal in Egypt was recently delivered. With a lifting capacity of 75 tons, an outreach of 72 meters and an on-track lifting height of 57.5 meters, they are among the best-performing quay cranes in terms of lifting capacity and height in the world and ultra-large, thus having the capability to load or unload the largest container carrier in the world.

The Damietta Alliance Container Terminal in Egypt is to be put into operation in 2025, with a total operating capacity of up to 3.3 million TEUs. After batches of quay cranes are installed, the terminal will become an important hub for container along the Mediterranean, thus bolstering trade ties between Egypt and other countries and regions, and local economic development.

Thanks to the Belt and Road Initiative, Hisea Heavy-duty Machinery has vigorously expanded into overseas markets over recent years.
