The China-Europe Qingdao Forum on Sustainable Development will take place in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) on Aug 29.

With the theme "Green development for a sustainable future", the event will focus on hot topics related to peak carbon emissions, carbon neutrality, and China-Europe cooperation in green transformation. Participants will discuss strategies for addressing climate change and green development policy orientations from the perspective of multinational corporations, as well as current trends and countermeasure suggestions for the development of green and low-carbon industries.

The one-day forum will include opening ceremonies, speeches, keynote speeches, roundtable forums, and other events. It will invite distinguished guests from home and abroad, including government officials from the National Development and Reform Commission, the United Nations, and the European and French chambers of commerce, and 11 entrepreneurs from multinational corporations such as Air Liquide of France, Schneider Electric, and Dassault Systèmes.

In recent years, Qingdao WCNA has been seeking to contribute to the national goal of achieving "peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality," and adhering to a path of green development. It has launched construction on the China-Europe Environmental and Climate Cooperation Demonstration Zone, exploring a globally coordinated innovative green and sustainable development model.
