On July 16, Qingdao and the city of Tbilisi in Georgia signed an agreement in Qingdao to become friendship cities.

Over the recent years, Qingdao and the city of Tbilisi, an important transportation and economic hub in Transcaucasia, have seen a series of exchanges in mechanical equipment, auto parts, electric appliances and electronic products among other fields, paving a solid foundation for cooperation. Looking into the future, Qingdao and Tbilisi, which have promising prospects of cooperation, will seize significant opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative to further deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation on economic and trade ties, culture and tourism, medicine and transport and write a new chapter of bilateral friendship.

In the signing ceremony, Qingdao Municipal Hospital and Gudushauri National Medical Center Co., Ltd. inked an MOU.  (Lin Junyan)
