The 2024 Qingdao FTZ Japan Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference was held in Tokyo, Japan on April 19. Over 150 representatives from more than 80 leading Japanese enterprises and institutions attended the conference, representing various fields such as smart manufacturing, life health, energy conservation and environmental protection, commerce, and finance.

Japan is one of Qingdao's strongest economic partners with deepening industrial cooperation. Japan is now Qingdao's third-largest source of foreign investment and trading partner, offering confidence in further collaboration.

As an important platform for expanding China's international trade and investment and a key window for Qingdao to deepen global exchanges and cooperation, the Qingdao FTZ continues to expand high-level opening up and foster cooperation. 

Qingdao FTZ is committed to driving growth in five key sectors, namely the marine industry, international trade, shipping logistics, modern finance, and advanced manufacturing. It has attracted 118 Japanese-funded enterprises and forged partnerships with 20 Japanese financial institutions, business associations, and 15 Japanese local government agencies in China. It aims to create a secure and supportive environment for Japanese-funded enterprises to invest and thrive.
