On February 18, the 2024 Qingdao Raddish Sweet Dumplings Sugarball Fair was inaugurated in Qingdao Dabao Island Cultural Leisure Block. After a four-year suspension, the event, a top festival celebration IP in Qingdao, re-opened this year and has appealed to a myriad of citizens and tourists with boisterous folk-custom fairs, a variety of cultural activities and jubilant festive atmosphere.

Distinct from the past, this year’s Qingdao Raddish Sweet Dumplings Sugarball Fair has set up in an innovative manner two venues, namely Dabao Island (interacting with Taidong Pedestrian Street) and Hai Yun An, and launched a total of 43 themed activities and more than 200 community level folk custom and culture activities in four categories including “Xi Nian Hui”, “Guo Chao Hui”, “Bai Yi Hui” and “Hao Shi Hui”. In addition to stage performance and street cruise, the raddish carving competition, a classical program, will be re-held , and famous carving masters will be invited to showcase their exquisite craftsmanship.  (Yu Ruixin)
