The first Fengyun T9 new energy vehicle (NEV) was recently rolled off the assembly line in Chery Superfactory in Jimo District, Qingdao, thus giving new impetus to make Qingdao’s NEV increasingly high end-oriented.

The newly launched Chery Fengyun T9 model is equipped with Chery super performance electric hybrid C-DM and can have a comprehensive range of more than 1,400 km.

The roll-out of the new model marks the increasing role of the Chery Qingdao Superfactory. As a landmark project for strategic cooperation between Qingdao and Chery Group, the Chery Qingdao Superfactory, completed and put into production in November 2022, is poised to be a high end-oriented and digitized “automobile plant” built by Chery through the integration of resources of its worldwide industrial bases. Empowered by the digitization tide, the superfactory is on a track to see a more than RMB 15 bln annual output value, with a brand new vehicle rolled off the assembly line every 1.5 minutes for global markets.  (Yi Tao)
