The “Future Lies with the Youth” Trip of CSULB Delegation from Long Beach, U.S. to Qingdao, China is in full swing in Qingdao.  

On January 9th, a delegation of students from California State University, Long Beach, came to Qingdao Port in Huangdao District, Shandong Province. The vast dock was empty, but there was a constant flow of vehicles and ships, creating a busy scene. Intelligent bridge cranes, tire cranes, and various other types of machinery were operating smoothly and efficiently, giving the delegation a great eye-opening experience at this fully automated container terminal. 

The delegation's visit this time is by invitation from the Qingdao Municipal Foreign Affairs Office.  The trip, lasts from January 7 to12, is jointly initiated by Qingdao and its American sister city Long Beach. Qingdao and Long Beach became sisters in 1985 and have been engaged in a colorful array of people-to-people especially youth exchange programs ever since.
