Qingdao recently released the Implementation Plan for Accelerating High-quality Development of Digital Economy. According to the Plan, by 2023, the value-added in core industries of Qingdao’s digital economy will see an annual average growth rate of around 13% and account for more than 12% of GDP; 12 leading enterprises in digital economy each with over RMB5bln annual revenue will be cultivated, and three RMB100bln-level digital economy industry clusters will be built.

According to the Plan, Qingdao will strive to newly cultivate more than 300 new and high-tech enterprises in digital economy in three years, pursue the innovation of “+future factories”, pioneer the development mode of “industrial cloud brain+” and facilitate the in-depth application of “industrial cloud brain” in industrial fields, assist annually over 1,000 enterprises in pursuing digital, internet-oriented and intelligent transformation and upgrading, and enable almost all industrial enterprises above designated scale to go through digital transformation.  (Sun Xin)
