According to the 2023 edition of the Global Innovation Index (GII) released by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Qingdao came under the spotlight, and ranked 23rd (the eighth place in China) among the top 100 science and technology innovation clusters, soaring by 11 spots compared with 2022 and one of the most fast-advancing Chinese cities.

According to statistics, Qingdao has made sustained progress year by year in the global ranking of science and technology innovation clusters, which initially ranked 80th and then climbed to the 69th, the 53th, the 34th and 23rd place, highlighting the fact that Qingdao’s great push for science and technology innovation, and high-quality development has won international recognition.  (Wu Shuai)
